I Miss You

Distance kept us away

Through mountains and sea

Our love like the blossoms of May

Wane it will not be

And here I say, I miss you

On my bed I lay

Thinking of you and me

Tears can’t wash away

The longing in the deepest part of me

Again I say, I miss you

Remembering the games we play

And all those happy memories

Long to just hear you say

“Honey, are you okay ?”

But, now I can only say, I miss you

She laughed, she smiled

But deep inside she riled

She thought it’s enough

We thought she’s tough

You thought she’s happy

They find that she’s happy go lucky

But nobody knows how very nearly

Hope can break the heart all too easily
